Over a Decade in 3D Printing, Before It Was Cool and Slightly Less on Fire
The Maker Outpost is led by Caleb Fairres, who started working in the 3D printing industry in 2012 with SeeMeCNC, building, calibrating, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing 3D printers. Since then, he’s worked with printers from Bambu, Prusa, Creality, Raise3D, and plenty of machines that arrived with “I swear it worked yesterday” energy.
Caleb has also worked behind the scenes in 3D printing media, edited for The Edge of Tech during its early growth, travels to 3D printing and additive manufacturing events throughout the year, and co-produces HotMakes, a 200+ episode 3D-printing-focused podcast with makers and industry guests from around the world.
In other words: this is not a random guy with a printer and a Facebook page. This is the local 3D printing help desk Central Arkansas has been missing.
Who we are
The Maker Outpost is a service-first 3D printing shop built for hobbyists, schools, businesses, and anyone who wants better results without spending six hours digging through forums, Reddit threads, and one YouTube video from 2017 filmed like a ransom note.
We help with printer troubleshooting, repairs, setup, maintenance, training, custom printing, product development, and practical buying advice.
Basically, if it involves making useful or ridiculous things with 3D printers, we can probably figure it out.
